Common questions
The alarm didn’t go off
Wakey needs a few permissions to wake you reliably. Check all of these:
- Notifications allowed, including full-screen alerts.
- Alarms & reminders (Android) permitted, so the alarm can fire at an exact time.
- Battery optimisation disabled for Wakey. Aggressive battery savers on some Android devices will kill scheduled alarms.
- Do Not Disturb — allow Wakey as an exception, or alarms may be silenced.
- Keep the volume up. Wakey ramps volume by default, but the system alarm channel still applies.
A photo mission won’t pass
Photo missions are checked automatically. Give the camera good light, fill the frame with the subject, and photograph the real thing rather than a picture on another screen. If verification can’t reach our servers, Wakey falls back to a different mission type so you are never trapped by a failing check.
Managing your subscription
Wakey Premium is billed through the App Store or Google Play, not by us. Manage or cancel it there:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Already paid and the app doesn’t know? Open Settings in Wakey and tap Restore purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies.
Deleting your account
Settings → Delete account inside the app removes your account and data. You can also request deletion from this website. Deleting your account does not cancel your store subscription — cancel that separately using the links above.
Wakey and your health
Wakey is an accountability and habit tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not provide medical advice. If you have a sleep disorder or persistent sleep problems, please talk to a qualified clinician.
