Delete your Wakey account
You can delete your Wakey account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
First: is anything stored?
Wakey works without an account. When our server allows it, the app creates an anonymous online profile for you (no login needed). That profile is what gets deleted. If the app has no online profile, nothing about you is stored on our server: your alarms and history are only on your phone, and uninstalling the app removes them.
In the app — immediate
- Open Wakey.
- Go to Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account and confirm.
Your profile and the data listed below are erased straight away, on our server and on your phone. The Account section appears only while the app has an online profile. If you don’t see it, this copy of the app has nothing stored on our server — but a profile from an earlier install may still exist; see below.
By email — if you no longer have the app, or reinstalled it
Reinstalling Wakey or moving to a new phone starts a new profile, and the old one can no longer be opened from the app. To delete an older profile, or if you no longer have the app, email support@deepfai.com with the subject “Delete my Wakey account”, and include:
- If you added an email login: send the request from that address.
- If you added an Apple or Google login: tell us which one, and send the request from the email address of that Apple or Google account.
- If the profile never had a login: it holds no name or contact details, so tell us roughly when you installed and last used Wakey, your time zone, and the times and labels of your alarms. We will delete the profile that matches, if we can identify it with confidence.
We will verify the request and delete the profile within 30 days, and confirm by email when it is done.
What gets deleted
- Any login added to your profile (email, Apple or Google)
- Your profile, onboarding answers and commitment timestamp
- All alarms and their settings
- Your entire wake-up history, streaks and achievements
- Mission verification logs
- Your subscription record held in our database
Mission photos are never stored in the first place, so there is nothing to delete.
What is kept, and for how long
We may retain a minimal record of the deletion itself, and any transaction records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes, for as long as the law requires. Anonymised or aggregated statistics that cannot identify you may be retained. Backups are purged on their normal rotation, within 30 days.
Important: this does not cancel your subscription
Wakey Premium is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so deleting your account does not stop the billing. Cancel the subscription separately:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Wakey → Cancel.
- Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Wakey → Cancel.
Do this before deleting your account, otherwise you will need to cancel from a device still signed in to that store account.
